Different HOA rules in different regions of Spain

In Northern Spain, where my family member tried to change the color of their window, the HOA rules were much more strict than what we were used to in the South. In contrast, the HOA rules in the South of Spain are more relaxed. While there are still guidelines to follow, they’re not as strict as in the North. Homeowners can make changes to their property without having to get approval from everyone in the community. This makes it easier for people to personalize their homes and express their individuality.

In Northern Spain, where people tend to be more traditional and conservative, there’s a greater emphasis on maintaining the appearance of the community. In the South, where people are more laid back and relaxed, there’s more freedom to express yourself and make changes to your property.
